Geemarc Amplipower 50 Hard of Hearing Telephone
With huge 60dB amplification, the Geemarc Amplipower 50 Hard of Hearing Telephone is an ideal telephone for the hard of hearing with severe hearing loss. Losing contact with the outside world is a real concern for the hard of hearing, so it's important that they have a phone that can keep up with them.
Massive 60dB Amplification
The Amplipower 50 is the loudest amplified telephone in the world. With an enormous 60db receiver volume, voices on the other end of the line will come through loud and clear. This phone for hard of hearing amplifies the standard volume of a telephone by at least 6 to 7 times, making this amplified telephone ideal for those who really do need a big boost to the volume.
Not only is the receiving volume amplified, but so is the ringing volume. Both the receiver volume and the ringing volume are highly adjustable so that you can adjust the telephone to suit your requirements.
The Amplipower 50 phone for the hard of hearing also features a tone control. Tone control allows the user to adjust the tone of the conversation, an especially important feature for those with high and low frequency hearing loss as certain sounds can often be difficult to distinguish over the telephone.
Users with high frequency hearing loss will find it difficult to hear the letters "T" and "S" in conversation. With the Amplipower 50's tone control, these sounds can be boosted so they become clearer and easier to identify. This tone control is fully adjustable and easy to control using a slider at the top of the telephone.
Big Button Design
Designed to be as simple to use as possible for every user, the Amplipower 50 phone also features big buttons on its keypad and around. The advantages of a big button phone are that they help make the phone more accessible to elderly users – it is likely that someone with a hearing impairment may also have loss of vision or loss of motor skills. A big button telephone is more accessible to people with these issues.
Strobe Ring Indicator
As well as featuring an amplified ringer, the Amplipower 50 also features a large and bright strobing light for incoming calls - helping to ensure that you never miss a phone call again.
The hands-free button on the Amplipower 50 enables users to speak on the telephone without holding the receiver. The amplification of the hands-free facility is not as high as the amplification of the receiver, although it is louder than an average telephone's hands-free facility.
Store Phone Numbers
The Amplipower 50 features the ability to store up to 12 phone numbers to dial at the press of a button. Three of these can be stored as emergency memories at the top of the phone for easier and clearer access - making it an ideal phone for the elderly with impaired memory.
