Geemarc AmpliDect 280 Cordless Hard of Hearing Telephone
A great phone for hard of hearing people, the Geemarc AmpliDect 280 Cordless Hard of Hearing Telephone is ideal for those with mild to moderate hearing problems. It's vital that those with hearing loss can continue to keep in touch with their friends and loved ones, and this phone can help them do just that.
Ideal for use around the home, the Geemarc AmpliDect can be expanded with additional handsets to provide a better coverage around your house. For example, you can have one handset in the bedroom and one in the living room, making the 280 ideal for elderly users who may not have the mobility to reach a phone on the other side of the house.
The AmpliDect 280 phone for the hard of hearing features an adjustable receiving volume control up to 30dB, which is about 3 to 4 times louder than a standard telephone. This makes this an ideal phone for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss.
As well as featuring a 30dB receiver amplification, this phone also features an adjustable receiving tone control of +/-10dB, helping to ensure that you can hear every part of the conversation. The volume and tone can also be adjusted from the handset for greater ease of use.
Alongside a 30dB receiver amplification, the AmpliDect 280 phone for the hard of hearing also has an adjustable ringing volume with variety of melodies to suit you. This helps ensure that you never miss a phone call again.
The phonebook built into the AmpliDect 280 can store up to 50 names and numbers for easy access, and for even easier access four numbers can be set to direct memory buttons on the handset. This means that important numbers can be dialed at the press of a single button – ideal for elderly users who may have memory lapses.
Big Clear Display
The front display on the AmpliDect 280 utilises big characters and a clear menu system, making it easier to use for individuals with vision impairment as well as the hard of hearing. The display also utilises Caller ID, so you can see who's calling you before you answer.
Big Button Phone
Alongside this, the AmpliDect 280 also features large buttons on the keypad which make the phone more accessible for users with vision impairment. This is augmented by the high-contrast design of the keypad, which makes the phone easier to use still.
Expandable With Multiple Handsets
An additional handset can also be purchased to connect to the AmpliDect 280 Cordless Amplified Telephone, making this an expandable system ideal for larger homes.
